The Just William Society was started over twenty five years ago by a group of like minded William book collectors who decided to meet up to discuss their collections, show others what books and other 'goodies' they had, swop, buy and generally have a good time discussing William antics.
As the meetings and the William fan base got bigger and bigger, the Just William Society was formed in 1990 to give a more coherent feel to the preceedings.-- all presided over by Richmal Cromptons neice Richmal Ashbee until her sad death in 2005. Her sense of fun, and enthusiasm for William are greatly missed.
At the present time, the society has members from all over the world, issues newsletters and has an annual get-together in the UK.

The last meeting in 2007 was THE SOCIETIES 25TH ANNIVERSARY!!!
The next meeting for 2008 is now being organised.
